The predecessor to the Kentucky Maple School originally began as a regional event that was held in December.  As more maple syrup producers became interested in the School, it grew along with the formation of the Kentucky Maple Syrup Association as a statewide event and the date was moved to the fall.  Each year, the School allows for maple syrup producers to come together to learn about current topics in maple production.  It also allows for the producers to get to know each other and share ideas.  In 2020, things will be a little different with the Kentucky Maple Syrup School.  As we transition to a virtual format, the School still provides up to date educational information for those that have an interest in maple and those that want to expand their knowledge and operations.  The 2020 School features three great speakers as well as an updates from the Kentucky Maple Syrup Association and the University of Kentucky ACER grant, that was recently funded.
